PCT Wonderland '19

Reality Check.

Before we get carried away trying to plan a 2,261.4 mile trip for our first though hike together, we need to do something a bit smaller first to see if we can survive as a pack in the great outdoors.

So before any PCT planning can really begin, we must survive the Wonderland.

A 93 mile journey around the base of Seattle’s favorite mountain.

Mount Rainier has been in our back yard since the beginning, but we are going to get closer to her than we have ever been.

Wonderland; A Trip Around Rainier

This journey began with packing our resupply buckets and dropping them off where we would need them. The plan was to carry in half of our resources, and pick up the rest at the halfway point.

Packing enough food while not over packing was the first big challenge.

The next was to wait a whole week before we could start the Wonderland.

The cabin where we dropped off our resupply the week before.

Seven days walking around the beautiful mount Rainier. If we can do that, maybe we can do the PCT?
