Excited Pee-er

One of the most exciting things for RoxyDoggo is when we pull up to a trailhead and open the car doors to let her out.

Everyone who has ever met RoxyDoggo knows that when she is excited, she pees.

She normally warns you with her high pitched whining squeal that she needs to be taken out to the grass.

However, on our last hiking trip, she gave no warning.

We had just parked in the mostly empty parking lot and were very excited and eager to start our hike.

It is common for AusFrog to get out of the car first to then open the back door for RoxyDoggo. As the door opens, she impatiently jumps out of the car, AusFrog pulls out his pack and sets it down against the car.

Roxy is on her leash and can easily reach the nearest greenery. But instead of exploring the area, RoxyDoggo does something that still has us in shock.

With our heads still in the car pulling out gear we hear strange piddle sounds. To our surprise, RoxyDoggo was peeing ON AusFrogs backpack.

We were dumbfounded. She has never done anything like that before and there was no clear reason as to why she would do it.

Was it to mark him with her scent? Did she smell something she did not like? There is no telling why, but looking back now, we can all laugh about it.

RoxyDoggo, for whatever reason, deliberately peed on AusFrogs pack.
